Hello and welcome from TüftelLab!

Our workshops are mainly characterised through active participation, creative exchange, and playful learning / learning by doing and through making. In order to give you a first impression of what to expect in our quantum workshops, we’ve prepared a little creative exercise as part of the application process: each group is to to upload a short video (max. 90 seconds), in which:

… the students introduce themselves in simple German (name, age, origin) (30 seconds)

… the students and the teachers, in English, outline their motivation for wanting to take part in Karriere Quantum in 3 sentences (30 seconds)

… the students and the teachers, in English, pitch an idea for a game entitled “Nimm 10”/“Take 10” (30 seconds).

You have never heard of a game called “Take 10”? No problem, let us try and find a solution together.

  • First of all, try to analyse your situation and identify the problems that prevent you from pitching this game.

  • You do not know the rules or the aim of the game? Which rules can you derive from the name of the game “Take 10”? Which goal or goals could you define based on that? Which goal would you prioritise? Do not be afraid to create our own!

  • You have no game materials such as tokens, etc.? Try to find something amongst your surroundings. Can you imagine ways to incorporate these objects into your game?

Once you have answered these questions, you have just successfully designed your first game. You also have a first impression of the way we work and what to expect during the Karriere Quantum camp!

You are still motivated to delve deeper into the quantum world and to create your own project with our help? We certainly are, and hope to welcome you to Dublin soon!
