New Voices: Asian Diaspora on Screen

New Voices: Asian Diaspora on Screen 🎬✨ On April 25th, a unique film program from the Asian diaspora in Germany and beyond will be shown at the Goethe-Institut Taipei! From Istanbul to Baghdad, Tokyo, Saigon, and Jakarta to Berlin, the film program "New Voices: Asian Diaspora on Screen" highlights a growing community of diasporic filmmakers in Germany and beyond. With a focus on feminist and queer narratives, moving images offer a radical reinterpretation of home, togetherness, and memory. Following the screening at the Goethe-Institut Taipei, an online discussion and Q&A with the filmmakers will take place. The film program is curated by Feng-Mei Heberer.
